Osteopathic Physicians in Healthcare

Of the various systems and methods in healthcare, osteopathy takes a different approach; that the “musculoskeletal system” plays a major role in health and illness. Interventions of osteopathic physicians in terms of manipulative medicine are used in the prevention and treatment of disease. It is most known for treating back and neck pain.

The American Osteopathic Association in the United States includes fully licensed medical physicians and surgeons. In the United Kingdom, graduates of Bachelors of Osteopathy and Bachelors of Osteopathic Medicine programs, are requires to be registered with the UK regulatory body, the General Osteopathic Council.

The food industry has come up with a solution for people on diets or with diabetes that have a sweet tooth. They are known as artificial sweeteners and they are used in everything from chewing gum, coffee sweeteners, and even baking. There is some controversy over the use of them as some of them are totally synthetic and others are derived from the actual sugar plant.
